RAFTING TREK (June to September) (new)
This is a low altitude easy trek specially designed for those looking for mildly adventurous trails. It takes you through villages and monasteries from Hemis to Phey along the Indus. At the end of the trek, there is provision for river rafting.
This is an easy trek from Phokar to Suru valley which includes a visit to the Phokar Zong, the famous holy cave and meditation retreat of Guru Padmasambhava coinciding with its annual festival. One can also have a glimpse of the naturally formed images of Bodhisatavas from the valley below. This trek takes you to areas inhabited by two distinct ethnic groups ofpeople, along a route which has many medicinal plants commonly used by the local practitioners or Amchis.
