Profile
The Grand Dragon Ladakh is owned and operated by Abdu family from Leh.
We have achieved new heights in hospitality industry operating since
1974, when Ladakh was first declared the tourist destination for the
visitors from all over the world. It was then, Din Mohammed of the Abdu
family established the first hotel of the group - the Dragon Hotel, a
fully serviced facility.
With over 30 years experience, we have been successfully meeting the
needs of visitors to Ladakh. Our motto is to promote tourism in the
state by providing visitors a lifetime experience with the most
luxurious accommodation and worldclass facilities.
Mr. Din Mohammed with the able support of his two sons spearheads the
business. Gulam Mustafa, with his fine arts background has introduced
the famous Rabsal tradition of Ladakhi architecture to the Grand Dragon,
while Ghulam Mohiuddin heads our travel agency and coordinates
everything to prepare adventures and fun-filled itinerary. He has also
redefined the trends in the hospitality with his years of experience.

extensive expertise in catering to the needs of travelers has enabled us

Why the Grand Dragon Ladakh

The Hotel blends traditional architecture with luxurious accommodations to
create a unique experience. We believe in "go green" philosophy;
to are for the environment in which we live and operate. Thus, we have
installed 95 solar panels for central heating. These panels are also used to
heat water in the bathrooms. The under-floor heating of the bathrooms is
done with steady stream of hot water.
Accommodation
We offer most comfortable accommodation in 53 well
appointed deluxe rooms and 6 Royal Suites. Centrally heated rooms are
provided with comfortable stay even in chilling winters. The well furnished
rooms are equipped with all the modern facilities and amenities that
travelers look for. Our rooms and suits are categorically divided into the

Deluxe Rooms *
Aesthetically
decorated and furnished, the deluxe rooms have all the luxuries that a
person can ever desire. The bathroom is equipped with modern fittings and
Quebec Shower. Other facilities at the room includes Telephone, LCD TV with
satellite channels and much more.
Facing to the south, the large windows of the deluxe rooms offer a
panoramic view of the gorgeous snow-covered Stok ranges. While the
north-side of the room provides a magnificent view of beautiful Leh Palace
and Khardongla Pass, the world’s highest motorable road.
Royal Suite *
Unsurpassed
in beauty and style, the spacious Royal Suites are well furnished with
master bed, a sitting room and two attached bathrooms. The main bathroom is
provided with large bathtub. The interconnected rooms with large window
provide a magnificent view of the beautiful Leh Palace and Khardongla Pass,
the world’s highest motorable road. Other facilities at the royal
suites include Telephone, LCD TV with satellite channels, internet and much
more.

in typical Ladakhi style, our multi-cuisine restaurant offers excellent
choice for 80 delectable dishes. It serves Continental, Indian, Chinese,
Thai, local and Kashmiri Wazwan. The chefs at restaurants understand the
effect of typical Ladakh weather and cook food with special techniques to
meet the gastronomic demands of the guests.
The Coffee Shop facing the garden is open for 24 hours, providing tea,
coffee and refreshments with light and healthy snacks.
Conference-cum-Banquet Hall *
We
bring you the best of the business facilities with a large, centrally heated
and sound proof conference-cum-banquet hall, equipped with all the sound and
audio visual equipments based on latest technology.
Garden *
The
lush green Garden on the fringes of the hotel is an ideal place to relax and
rejuvenate in the fresh air. Various functions are held at the huge
amphitheatre, located in the magnificent Garden. Guests at Hotel Dragon can
enjoy the peaceful environment of the garden or soak in Sun during the
winters.
