Soft Adventure Tour - 03 (Kashmir Ladakh) :

Arrive Srinagar & transfer by cab to Houseboat / Hotel for overnight stay. After check in, a guided tour of the city takes you to the Mughal Gardens & Shankeracharya Temple, the oldest temple in Kasmir built by Raja Gopadatya in 371 B.C. The Mughal gardens is situated on the banks of the Dal Lake, this garden command a magnificent view of the lake with the mesmerizing backdrop of snowcapped mountains. The other major attraction of the day are Chashma Shahi (The royal spring), Nishat (abode of peace) and Shalimar = ("abode of love").

Early morning at 05 a.m a Shikara will take you to the vegetable market, which is the oldest daily market conducting business between 5 a.m. and to 7 a.m. everyday.. These vendors have been selling vegetables on the lake for generations. After visiting market return to houseboat for breakfast and than drive for 2 hours to reach Gulmarg for day long tour. Popularly known as summer resort of the country, Gulmarg has derived is located 60 km from Srinagar at an altitude of 2,745 m above sea level and occupies an area of about 3 =BC Sq. kms. It's has derived from the translation of hindi word that "the meadow of flowers". Today, Gulmarg is not merely a Hill resort of exceptional beauty but it has also highest green golf course in the world at an altitude of 2,650 m and is the country's premier ski resort. After excursion return back to houseboat / hotel in Srinagar.

After breakfast leave for Kargil. The 240 Km drive from Srinagar leads to the road that follows Sindh valley to the alpine pastures of Sonamarg. Beyond Sonamarg, the road steadily ascends towards the Zojila (3530 M) then village Matayan and Drass. Overnight stay in hotel.

Early morning drive covering distance of 210 Km to Leh through the Wakha valley. Visit Changchup Chosling Monastery of Nunnery housing about 30 Buddhist nuns. The drive continues to the Fatu La (4094 M ), the highest pass between Srinagar and Leh road. Visit Lamayuru Monastery. Overnight stay at hotel.

Morning free for sightseeing and lesuire activities. In the afternoon, visit Spituk and Phyang Monasteries, which has some of the most prized Thangkas (painted scroll). The car will drop you at Leh main market so that you can enjoying the shopping strolling down to hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Drive about 2 hours covering the distance of approximately 40 km to Hemis (3650 Mtrs), the largest and most popular Monastery of Ladakh. It was established in the 17th century under the patronage of the famous Ladakhi ruler Singge Namgyal. The Monastry belongs to the Drukpa order of Tibetan Buddhism. En route visit Shey and Thiksey. Overnight stay ay Hotel at Leh.

Drive about 4 to 5 hours covering the distance of 70 Kms en route visit Basgo Palace and Likir Monastery. Alchi is Ladakh’s most valuable heritage known as Choskor, the primary attraction is 1000-year old wall paintings, which makes visit most worthwhile. Overnight stay at Guest House (3040 m).

After breakfast drive to Redzong through narrow gorge that leads you to Rezong Monastery. Visit the beautiful Monastery. Drive continues for about 5 hour to and fro to Lamayuru. Return back to Alchi and overnight stay at Guest House.

After breakfast return to Leh. Afternoon free to explore Leh city and surroundings by your own. Overnight stay at Hotel.

An interesting desert up and down easy hiking of 3 to 4 hours, walk through two attractive small passes of 3700 m. From the top of the pass, you can see the beautiful view of the part of the famous village Sabu. Continue the trek and then arrive at Sabu village. Picnic lunch will be served near the spring. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Drive for 5 to 6 hours covering the distance of 125 kilometers. Cross the world's highest motorable pass Khardongla (5603 m / 18380 ft). Enter the beautiful valley famous for the ancient Caravan route to Central Asia and to places like Kashgar and Yarkand. The road was also known as the treaty road in the past. Nubra literally means the valley of flowers. Take a ride on the double hump Bacterium Camel in the sand dune. Overnight stay at Hotel / Guest House (3146 m).

Early morning visit to Samstangling Monastery. Move along the Shyok and Nubra rivers in the afternoon. Visit Deskit and Hunder village. Overnight stay ay Hotel / Guest House.

Drive back to Leh about 5 to 6 hours covering the distance of 125 kms. Overnight stay at hotel at Leh (3500 m).

Early morning drive to Thiksey Monastery for prayer ( Meet the monks). After prayer session drive to Stok village for Breakfast with Ladakhi family. Afternoon free for Shopping. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Early morning transfer to airport for departure flight.
